Program Reviews
Eleanor Roosevelt " On a beautiful summer evening last week, Carol Cohen captivated an audience here in our outside garden area with her portrayal of Eleanor Roosevelt. The program began as Eleanor was hosting a backyard picnic lunch at her home in Hyde Park, talking about her love of gardening and the natural world, as well as her role as First Lady helping to feed America during World War II. The audience then moved inside and, after a brief intermission, watched a PowerPoint presentation by Cohen outlining the place of Victory Gardens in American History and their relevance in today’s world. Our audience loved her program, both the character re-enactment and the Victory Garden presentation that followed it. This is the second time we've hosted Carol in Middleborough. She's an absolute pleasure to work with and is very passionate about her subject matter. I highly recommend her. " - Libby Fox Reference/Adult Services Librarian Middleborough Public Library |
