Program Reviews

“Carol Cohen has visited the Leicester Senior Center with several of her hands-on history programs. They have been well received by the members of our center. If you enjoy “history live “you will find that Carol Cohen is the person you would enjoy as a presenter of history.
Especially when it comes to memorable individuals like Eleanor Roosevelt and Abigail Adams. She has come to us fully prepared to awe her audience. It is reliving history with these women in the room. There is now doubt that Carol fully enjoys and knows her subject. For us, we plan to have Carol present not only to our older adults. We would like to reach out to our school children as an intergenerational program.”

Eleanor Roosevelt
"
On a beautiful summer evening last week, Carol Cohen captivated an audience here in our outside garden area with her portrayal of Eleanor Roosevelt.  The program began as Eleanor was hosting a backyard picnic lunch at her home in Hyde Park, talking about her love of gardening and the natural

world, as well as her role as First Lady helping to feed America during World War II.

The audience then moved inside and, after a brief intermission, watched a PowerPoint presentation by Cohen outlining the place of Victory Gardens in American History and their relevance in today’s world.

Our audience loved her program, both the character re-enactment and the Victory Garden presentation that followed it.

This is the second time we've hosted Carol in Middleborough. She's an absolute pleasure to work with and is very passionate about her subject matter.  I highly recommend her. "
