Over the past 24 years students all over New England and beyond, have been introduced to hands on learning via creative In-School Field Trips with Carol's Educational Consulting company: Now Voyager Education.
What is an In-School field Trip?
Definition : A hands-on , interdisciplinary , informative presentation without the hassle of long bus rides and long lines and crowds. Now Voyager meets students in an intimate setting, presenting to one class at a time. All In-School field trips are aligned with curriculum standards.

Hands on History
Colonial School Days : Living History Program -
Prudence Gray – owner of a dame school in Colonial America invites students in for lessons and recess. ( Individual classes – 1 hour ). Digging up Colonial America: Participants are invited into the home of Thomas and Prudence Grey, a colonial home dating back to mid 1700’s Virginia. Here they are introduced to their daily life of the times through storytelling and objects found in the home. Participants will then be invited to join the team of “archeologists” in the backyard of the home where a simulated dig has been set up. This program is designed to provide participants with an introduction to the science of archeology and explores how artifacts serve as valuable clues in studying about the past. Hands On Geography
Hands on Geography
Students learn about maps and globes in this "hands on" introduction to the world and it's physical features. The first segment for all grades is an exploration of the world. The second segment is geared towards a particular grade level. This is done with the use of an over sized world map measuring approximately 15 x 20 feet with the help of 3-D objects, books, and visuals.
